A 120Gb/s 16QAM CMOS W-band Frequency-Interleaved Wireless Transceiver

Wireless systems with ultra-high data rates that exceed 100Gb/s will be in demand in the near future for instantaneous download and data transfer applications. This poster introduces an ultra-high data rate wireless CMOS transceiver that utilizes frequency interleaving with cross modulation suppression in the W-band region from 70GHz to 105GHz. A single-ended IF balanced mixer with DC offset cancellation was used in the TX to reduce LO leak and thus to improve linearity. The maximum data rate achieved at 20cm distance is 120Gb/s, which is the fastest wireless data rate in the world so far.
