A 128-QAM 60GHz CMOS Transceiver for IEEE802.11ay with Calibration of LO Feedthrough and I/Q Imbalance

To meet the demand from the explosive increasing of data traffic volume, a 60GHz band transceiver for IEEE802.11ay with accurate and automatic calibration for LOFT (LO Feedthrough) and image signal is introduced in this paper. EVM of TX with a single channel bandwidth is improved to -28.7dB in 128QAM after the proposed calibration. Data rates of 12.23Gbps in 128QAM and 50.10Gbps in 64QAM are realized by the proposed transceiver after calibration. The proposed TX and RX consumes 169mW and 139mW from a 1V VDD, respectively.
