We have been developing a battery-less powering system for especially small, implantable and IoT devices. This work aims to design a CMOS-based optical energy harvesting chip that accumulates small optically -transferred electric power and supplies power to a target device intermittently. We designed and evaluated a CMOS-based optical energy harvesting device and confirmed the feasibility of the technology. This device also includes an optical ID device to support IoT technology.
