長距離車々間通信と速度制御の連携による自然渋滞緩和

We presented velocity control in sags assuming most of cars are manually controlled, by using V2V communication using 700MHz band wireless system whose communication range would be up to about 1000m[3]. A major benefit of this scheme is that it can avoid forming congestion vehicle groups in the earlier stage, where a vehicle slowing down in a sag notifies its upstream vehicles of the likeliness of congestion occurrence and they perform appropriate velocity control so that they would not increase the length of the slow vehicle group.
