Characterization of Human Body Shadowing Loss at 2.5 GHz and 5.8 GHz in an Indoor Environment

The Human Body Shadowing (HBS) loss is evaluated, through the frequencies, 2.5 GHz and 5.8 GHz, comparing HBS' width (Ws) calculated by knife-edge method, Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) analysis and measurements, with the size of the first Fresnel zone. We present the HBS loss in a single human moving environment and in a multiple human random walk environment.
