光集積回路における間欠性ルートとカオス

We present the analysis of a route to chaos in a semiconductor laser with optical feedback embedded in a photonic integrated circuit showing intermittent dynamics. We show how the intermittent dynamics appears and evolves as the laser bifurcates from a period doubling solution to chaos under the action of the increasing feedback strength. The fundamental mechanism of intermittency is unveiled and the influences of the feedback strength and time on the phenomenon are discussed from experimental and numerical considerations.
