A Study on Restoration of User's Concentration by Eyeblink Detection and Audio-Visual Stimuli

There are many attempts to increase user’s concentration by using auditory and visual stimuli. However, such studies mainly focus to increase the concentration level during active mental task (AMT). In this study, we aim to restore the concentration level based on similar concepts during passive mental task (PMT). The effects of audio and visual stimuli to the concentration level under PMT condition are investigated and its efficiency is then examined. It is found that the efficiency of both stimuli to maintain users' EBR at or above normal condition are averagely 1.9 and 2.9 minutes.
