Development and Demonstration of a Post-Placement Routing Approach for Large-Scale Adiabatic Quantum-Flux-Parametron Circuits Using Channel Routing

AQFP (Adiabatic Quantum Flux Parametron) circuit is a superconductive device with extremely small energy dissipation. In order to implement VLSI circuits (very-large-scale integration) circuits, EDA (electronic design automation) software is necessary to efficiently design. However, fully featured EDA tools for AQFP circuits have not been developed yet.
We aim to develop EDA tools for AQFP logic As the first step, we created an automatic routing software based on the channel routing. As a demonstration, we utilize the tool to wire an 8-bit Kogge-Stone adder composed of AQFP cells. We will report the results of implementation and evaluate the routing performance.
