Intra-Domain Video Caching in Content Centric Network with Normalized Popularity

Recently Content Centric Network (CCN) is proposed as an alternative of the future network architecture. The routers in CCN have the caching abilities and the caching strategies affect the system performance greatly. Popularity-aware video caching draws much attentions due to its good performance, and the popularity is calculated based on the number of requests at the video content level. In this paper, we normalize the video popularity when we design the caching policy by taking the video size into consideration and the simulation results show that the proposed scheme achieves better performance comparing with the state-of-the-art caching policy.
