International Experiment Campaign with Small Optical TrAnsponder (SOTA)

National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) has initiated R&D effort of Small Optical TrAnsponder (SOTA) for LEO satellites to demonstrate satellite-to-ground laser communications through atmospheric paths [1]. Following the interest of several international partners for joint collaboration, NICT has initiated international experiment campaign with SOTA and different Optical Ground Stations (OGS). In this paper we discussed the required interface to establish a link between SOTA and an OGS and the experiment preparation flow. We have also shown preliminary experimental results from the first phase of the international experiments campaign.
