Comparative analysis of GPU Approaches for Power Flow Calculation in CUDA
Igor Araujo・Adamo Santana・Vincent Tadaiesky(Federal University of Para)・○福山良和(明治大学)
Power Flow calculation is widely used in the analysis of Electrical Power. Its computation, however, can become costly, as the size of the network increases. This study aims to assess the implementation of PF’s main steps, using the Newton-Raphson algorithm, under a GPGPU architecture. The application is tested comparing the computation time of its serial implementation and two GPU-based approaches.
