Data-dropout compensation for networked control system based on model predictive control

Networked Control System (NCS) has been actively studied with spread of network. To design a controller in the NCS, it is required to consider the delay and/or the data-dropout in the network. In earlier works, we proposed a compensation method for the data-dropout using model predictive control (MPC). In this paper, the result is applied to an unstable system. The data drop-out model is given as a finite Markov chain so that the length of the drop-out is taken into consideration. The effectiveness of proposed method is illustrated experimentally.
