A Simplified Stackelberg Game Approach for Securing Data Trustworthiness in Wireless Sensor Networks

Security in Wireless-Sensor-Networks (WSNs) is an eminent problem that
requires intelligent and adaptive solutions. Recently, game theory has
been used to model security problems in WSNs. A binary-model (B-model)
based on Stackelberg-game was proposed to maintain nodes' data security
in a WSN. However, this model requires 30-55% of the total number of
nodes in order to achieve the desired data trustworthiness. In this paper,
we propose a modification of the original B-model to reduce number of
required nodes to be protected against a fake injected data and resolve
the issue of the rational attack scenario. In the proposed model, the
data trustworthiness and the Nash Equilibrium (NE) assumptions can be
achieved with less number of nodes compared with the original model.
