Humans waste a lot of time on finding things such as important documents and other objects in daily life. To reduce this time, a number of systems have been proposed. One of them supports finding things in an indoor environment via the use of active tags. However, an active tag approach has the following limitations; (1) cost per tag and (2) battery life. In this paper we propose a new system for indoor environment via the use of inexpensive passive radio frequency ID (RFID) tags and smart phones.
