希塩酸の添加による水素化ホウ素ナトリウムの水素生成速度改善のフラスコを用いた実験的検証

The authors have proposed and made a high-density hydrogen generation system for FCHEVs which generates hydrogen by hydrolysis of powdery sodium borohydride (NaBH4). However, higher hydrogen generation rate is required in order to make more practical FCHEVs. This paper proposed a scheme to improve the hydrogen generation rate from NaBH4 under low-temperature water environment by using dilute hydrochloric acid accelerant. It was confirmed by experiments in a flask using dilute hydrochloric acid that the hydrogen generation rate became 1.5 times higher than that for the case using a conventional citric acid accelerant. In addition, it was confirmed that no short-term degradation arises in the characteristics of a 100 W fuel cell, even if rapid hydrogen generation system by adding dilute hydrochloric acid is used.
