An Improvement on Power Controller of Grid-connected Inverter by Using Virtual Resistor Concept

An improvement on power controller of grid connected inverter is presented in this paper. Combination of virtual resistor concept and droop control is proposed to improve the performance of the power controller. It can be shown that the proposed control method will make the grid-connected inverter reaches power steady state condition faster during voltage fluctuation situation in the system. Simulation study by using PSCAD/EMTP is conducted to verify the proposed method.
